Southern California is a prime location for anyone who loves the beauty of nature. Irvine, in particular, offers easy access to a variety of natural landscapes. The Santa Ana Mountains to the north provide plenty of hiking opportunities, while Crystal Cove State Park to the south is a great place to take in the ocean views. Homes in Irvine are often located in master-planned communities with spacious yards, and many are built directly into the surrounding landscape. The Orange County Great Park is a must-see for those looking to take in the city's beauty, with the option to ride a tethered hot air balloon for a 360-degree view. Although the city skyline has changed with the influx of businesses like technology, Irvine remains a city that is both nestled in and surrounded by nature.

A man groping a woman in Irvine is now in custody.
A
man was accused of sexually assaulting a woman near the UC Irvine campus.
Officials said the suspect, 23-year-old Brandon Dybdahl of Beaumont, was
arrested Wednesday in Laguna Hills. Dybdahl admitted to the crime but said it
was a mistake and was embarrassed. Officials released security video showing
the moments Dybdahl allegedly attempted to grope and restrain the victim from
behind as she screamed for help. The incident happened in broad daylight. The
victim was doing exercise laps around campus; now, campus residents are on high
alert. I hope all women know how to defend themselves and are alert. Read
